Turn these notes into flashcards. Put one card per line: the term, then a tab, then the definition. No numbers, no headings and no extra text, so I can paste it into Quizlet or save it as a text file for Anki.

You have pages of notes and an exam Friday. Typing every term into flashcards by hand would take longer than actually studying them.

Skip the typing. AI turns your notes into one card per line, with a tab between the term and the definition. A tab is the invisible gap the Tab key makes, and it tells the app where the term ends. Quizlet and Anki can both import that format.

Into Quizlet

  1. Paste your notes and the prompt above into an AI chat, then copy what it gives you.
  2. On the Quizlet website, start a new flashcard set and hit Import. Importing only works on the website, not the app.
  3. Paste the cards in. Set Between term and definition to Tab and Between cards to New line.
  4. Check the preview, fix anything weird, then create the set.

Into Anki

  1. Paste the cards into a plain text file and save it as a .txt file. On a Mac in TextEdit, choose Format, then Make Plain Text before you save.
  2. In Anki, go to File, then Import, and pick the file. If it complains, save the file again with UTF-8 encoding.
  3. Make sure the separator says Tab, choose your deck, and check the first field goes to Front and the second to Back. Then import.

If everything lands on the term side, the tabs got lost when you copied from the chat. Ask for the cards inside a code block and copy from there.

Make the cards better

Rewrite these cards so each one tests a single idea and every definition is short enough to say in one breath. Keep the same format: term, tab, definition, one card per line.

that's it. go try it tonight.
